Why TCI

TCI is a unique K–12 social studies publisher created by teachers, for teachers. We partner with fellow educators to fundamentally change how social studies is taught in the classroom.

TCI is different from other educational publishers because we recognize that every student learns differently and all students benefit from learning in multiple ways. That is why each of our K–12 programs is based on a series of instructional practices that allow students of all abilities to experience and learn key social studies concepts.

Language Arts Integration

TCI programs make it easy for you to bring social studies back into your curriculum.

Student Engagement

In TCI activities, students interact in pairs and groups so they are more engaged in their own learning.

Differentiated Instruction

TCI helps all learners succeed with resources to reach English language learners, learners reading and writing below grade level, students with special needs, and advanced learners.

Varied Assessments

Effective assessment requires many approaches—individual and group, informal and formal—to create a well-rounded understanding of student performance.

Teacher Support

The community of TCI teachers who are increasing their professionalism has grown from a small pilot group to over 5,000 teachers, and is getting bigger every day.
